Galatasaray have set their sights on Newcastle midfielder Cheick Tiote after missing out on Liverpool's Lucas Leiva.
The Turkish giants had looked set to land Brazilian Lucas this summer but the switch has fallen through leaving Gala seaking an alternative.
And, according to Fanatik, the Istanbul club are now hopeful of sealing a deal for Tiote.
The Ivorian had become an integral member of the Newcastle team since his arrival from Twente in 2010 but his future is unclear following their relegation from the Premier League.
Galatasaray are keen to lure him to Turkey although it has been suggested that both Watford and Al-Jazira are also hoping to clinch his signature this summer.
