Jermaine Jenas believes Newcastle could challenge for the Premier League's top four if their £300million takeover goes through.

Owner Mike Ashley is in talks with a consortium led by financier Amanda Staveley to sell the club after 13 years at St James'.

And Jenas, who played for the Magpies in the Champions League, thinks the buyers will want to revolutionise his former side and bring back the ambition that was lacking under Ashley.
