Newcastle club doctor Paul Catterson has spoken about the squad's return to training and says there has been excitement among Steve Bruce's players.
The club began phase one of training on Tuesday along with the other 19 Premier League sides as plans to resume the season under 'Project Restart' got underway.
The Magpies returned negative coronavirus test results for all players and staff and Catterson admitted it had put people more at ease with returning.
'There was a general relief when everyone found that out,' he told Sky Sports.
