France midfielder Moussa Sissoko wants to leave Newcastle United for a "big club", with reportedly interested Real Madrid a favoured destination.
The 26-year-old has publicly stated his desire to leave St James' Park following Newcastle's relegation from the Premier League last season.
Sissoko, who was involved in France's run to the Euro 2016 final this summer, remains a registered Magpies player.
"I hope Real will come for me, I'm still waiting," Sissoko told the BBC.
Speaking to the World Service he said: "If Real Madrid are interested in you then of course you will be happy, but right now I am still a Newcastle player.
