Newcastle United manager Rafael Benitez wants assurances about the club’s ambitions for next season before he commits his future to the Tyneside club.
The former Liverpool and Real Madrid boss, who has one year remaining on his contract, guided the Magpies back to the Premier League last season and, despite a lack of funds and an inexperienced team, is on course to seal a top-ten finish in the top flight this term.
Benitez is now looking to add some silverware to the club’s trophy cabinet and has aspiration to transform Newcastle into the competitive side they once were.
