When the 62-year-old was in charge at Liverpool, he was captured waving his hands on the touchline, just at the moment when an information bar naming him appeared on the screen.
It was a viral moment of 'magic' from the Spaniard during his first spell on Merseyside, but when he was involved in Sky's coverage from Liverpool's win at another one of his former clubs, Newcastle United, he was not able to repeat it.
Benitez attempted the swipe, but went just too early, leaving his fellow studio members Kelly Cates and Jamie Redknapp to urge him to try again.
