Newcastle's Joe Willock is a doubt for Friday's clash with Wolves due to a knee injury... opening the door for Bruno Guimaraes to make his first home start - while Kieran Tripper could still return before the end of April

Newcastle midfielder Joe Willock is a doubt for Friday's visit of Wolves with a knee injury - but there is hope of Kieran Trippier returning before the end of the month.

Willock played the full game during Sunday's 5-1 defeat at Spurs but Sportsmail understands he was hampered by a knee problem.

The 22-year-old will be assessed over the next 24 hours and Eddie Howe could choose to rotate with Bruno Guimaraes in contention for his first home start.
