Newcastle United's Cheick Tiote has joined Galatasaray in a £1.6million deal.
The 30-year-old Ivory Coast international flew out on Sunday to complete the move despite rival interest from Burnley and Olympiacos.
Tiote arrived in Istanbul at 3pm to agree terms and was met by media and Galatasaray officials.
He spent six years at Newcastle after arriving from FC Twente for £3.
