Newcastle United FC news: Islam Slimani receives FA charge for clash with West Brom's Craig Dawson

Newcastle loan signing Islam Slimani may well have played his final game for the club after being charged with violent conduct.

Slimani, 29, who is currently on loan at the Magpies from Leicester has been charged by the Football Assoiciation after appearing to kick Craig Dawson during their 1-0 league defeat at home to West Brom.

Referee David Coote did not see the incident and Slimani was not punished at the time, but he faces a three-match ban if he either admits or is convicted of the alleged offence.

An FA statement said: "Newcastle United's Islam Slimani has been charged with violent conduct following an incident during the game against West Bromwich Albion on Saturday.
