Rafa Benitez says he will not start a 'war' with Mike Ashley over Newcastle's transfer policy and will instead focus on keeping the team in the Premier League.
The Spaniard is frustrated by the manner in which the club conduct business — two of their three loan signings were not confirmed until 11pm on deadline day — and he was evasive when asked if he was happy with that return.
But Benitez insists now is not the time for an attack on Ashley given the threat of relegation hanging over his side.
