Manchester City won their 18th Premier League match in a row with a 1-0 victory over Newcastle at St James' Park on Wednesday.
The win extends the club's Premier League record streak and sees them move 15 points clear of second-placed Manchester United.
Raheem Sterling scored just past the half-hour mark, first-timing his shot past Rob Elliot from a deft Kevin De Bruyne chip over the Newcastle defence for the game's only goal.
The visiting side were wasteful over the 90 minutes and should have scored more but were denied by a Newcastle team content to sit back and some key saves by Elliot in goal.
