Newcastle's injury nightmare took another turn for the worse after Miguel Almiron limped off during the first half of their Premier League trip to Bournemouth.
The forward dropped to the ground after suffering an apparent hamstring issue at Vitality Stadium and was unable to continue following checks by medics.
Experienced winger Matt Ritchie was brought on to replace him.
Eddie Howe's staggering list of absentees now stands at 12, with key players Callum Wilson, Bruno Guimaraes, Alexander Isak and Sven Botman among those ruled out.
