Newcastle have asked about Sassuolo left back Rogerio, as Steve Bruce looks to set out his transfer targets for the coming season.
However, the collapse of the club’s takeover means they may not be able to meet the Italian club’s demands.
The 22-year old Brazilian is among Newcastle’s top targets for the left back position after Danny Rose’s loan from Tottenham ended.
Bruce though may have to face up to a reality of a small budget plus loans and free transfers if takeover talks are not revived by other parties.
