Newcastle are set to open talks with Young Boys striker Yannick Toure in the next 24 hours.
Born in Senegal, the 17-year-old has a Swiss passport and has played for the country at Under-17 level.
Sportsmail revealed in November that the Magpies were interested in Toure, who is rated as one of Switzerland’s brightest attacking prospects and is set for promotion to the national Under-19 squad.
Arsenal, Juventus and Red Bull Salzburg have been tracking the youngster in recent months.
