Newcastle footballer Rolando Aarons arrives at court to face violent disorder trial over mass city-centre brawl

Newcastle United football Rolando Aarons has arrived at court to face trial over a mass city-centre brawl.

The 22-year-old has previously denied a charge of violent disorder following a fight at Livello bar in October 2016.

Aarons is said to have taken offence when a group of men started dancing with his aunt.

The winger is currently on loan at Italian side Hellas Verona but has returned to Newcastle this week.

He is one of seven men standing trial in connection with the brawl at Newcastle Crown Court.

Joan Jacob, 45, Jamar Collins, 21,and Sabrina White, 23, all pleaded not guilty to violent disorder.
