Rafael Benitez says the 'massive potential' of Newcastle United will be attractive to investors amid talk of a takeover.
Owner Mike Ashley officially put the club up for sale this week and financier Amanda Staveley and her Middle East investment company PCP Capital Partners have now entered the process of due diligence.
Benitez was asked what part the stature of the club would play in attracting investors on Friday.
He said: 'If I decided to stay it is because the potential of the club, the city, it is massive.
