Newcastle ban Eric Bristow from Darts Legend appearance at St James' Park

Newcastle United have moved swiftly to ban Eric Bristow from an upcoming St James' Park event after the former darts player claimed young footballers raped and sexually assaulted by their coaches were 'wimps'.

The club also announced that they will not work with the 59-year-old again in the future.

Bristow had been due to appear alongside Bobby George, Steve Beaton and Keith Deller at 'An Evening with Darts Legends' on December 6. Current world No 43 Kevin Painter has taken his place at the event.
