Newcastle appoint CEO of Saudi Golf Federation and Public Investment Fund advisor Majed Al Sorour as a club director - just a day after Magpies revealed green and white away shirt which resembles Gulf State's national team kit

Newcastle United have appointed Saudi Public Investment Fund advisor and CEO of Saudi Golf Federation Majed Al Sorour as a director.

Sorour, who is also CEO of Golf Saudi and has been on the board of Riyadh football club Al-Nassr, was today registered on Newcastle's Company House filings.

The appointment comes less than 24 hours after a new green-and-white away kit was revealed for next season, which has a striking resemblance to the national team kit of the Gulf state.
