Newcastle United are out of the Championship relegation zone - now there’s something Rafa Benitez never thought he would be celebrating this season.
The Champions League-winning boss called for calm on the eve of this game after a pair of losses had seen his side - assembled at a cost of £45million this summer - slip closer to League One than the Premier League.
And, while this remained far from convincing, a first victory of the campaign was secured thanks to goals from three of his new arrivals.

Isaac Hayden, Matt Ritchie and a Dwight Gayle double did the job on a night when, for Benitez and his stuttering side, the result was more important than the performance.
