Newcastle 3-0 Wolves: Alexander Isak's brace fires Magpies into the top four as Eddie Howe's men secure ninth straight win

Newcastle moved into the top four with their ninth win in a row in all competitions as they beat Wolves 3-0 at St James' Park on Wednesday night.

It was man of the moment Alexander Isak who scored in his eighth successive Premier League game to give Newcastle the lead in the 34th minute, but he needed a huge slick of luck as his shot took a huge deflection before wrong-footing Jose Sa.

Wolves almost hit back just before the break after a swift counter-attack, but Jorgen Strand Larsen's effort clipped the post and went wide.
