Newcastle 2-0 Burnley: Eddie Howe's side continue bright form ahead of Champions League showdown with PSG thanks to Miguel Almiron and Alexander Isak goals

Newcastle continued their recent bright form with a 1-0 win over Burnley at St James' Park.

Eddie Howe's side took the lead inside 14 minutes when Aaron Ramsey was caught on the ball before Miguel Almiron cut in to unleash a powerful effort from distance into the top corner.

The hosts continued their dominance in the second half and doublled their lead in the 76 minute when Anthony Gordon was brought down inside the box, with Alexander Isak scoring from 12 yards out.
