Chris Wood came back to haunt his former club as he scored a hat-trick in a 3-1 victory for Nottingham Forest against Newcastle to hand Nuno Espirito Santo his first win in charge.
Newcastle took the lead midway through the first half as Alexander Isak was tripped in the area to win his side a penalty, and the Swedish striker picked himself up to slot past Matt Turner from the spot. But Forest looked a threat on the counter and responded on the stroke of half time when Wood tapped home from close range after a fine move from the visitors.
