Michael Carrick admits he won't fulfil dream of playing for Newcastle as he insists: 'When I finish at Manchester United, that will probably be it'

Manchester United midfielder Michael Carrick says he is unlikely to fulfil his boyhood dream of playing for Newcastle and believes he will retire at Old Trafford.

Carrick was born on Tyneside and supported Newcastle as a child, but has now come to the realisation that he is unlikely to play in black and white.

'No, I think that has passed now,' he told Match of the Day magazine when asked about a potential move to Newcastle.
