Manchester United midfielder Michael Carrick says he is unlikely to fulfil his boyhood dream of playing for Newcastle and believes he will retire at Old Trafford.
Carrick was born on Tyneside and supported Newcastle as a child, but has now come to the realisation that he is unlikely to play in black and white.
'No, I think that has passed now,' he told Match of the Day magazine when asked about a potential move to Newcastle.

'When I was a kid I was supporting Newcastle, I dreamt one day I would do but I count myself very fortunate to have played for Manchester United for so long.
