Newcastle midfielder Matty Longstaff is reportedly ready to sign a new contract at the club, provided the takeover of the club is completed in due course.
The 20-year-old, who burst onto the scene when he scored the match-winner against Manchester United in October on his Premier League debut, is out-of-contract on June 30.
Reportedly on £850 a week, talks over a new deal have stagnated in recent months but he is willing to sign a extension should Mike Ashley's £300m sale of the club go through in the coming weeks, according to The Sun.
