Luton confirm the signing of Andros Townsend on a deal until January as Hatters boss Rob Edwards hails the winger's 'Premier League quality' and 'humble and outstanding' attitude

Luton have completed the signing of former Tottenham and England winger Andros Townsend on a short-term contract.

The 32-year-old joins the Hatters after leaving Everton in the summer where he had an injury-ravaged spell.

Having initially impressed upon arrival at Goodison Park in 2021 - with Townsend contributing seven goals and four assists in just 21 starts - he suffered a serious knee injury in March 2022 and hasn't played since.

He spent time with Burnley in the summer and revealed last month how he was left in tears after a move collapsed despite agreeing terms with the Clarets and being offered a contract.
