Garry Monk's side will be full of confidence after beating Preston 3-0 at Elland Road last weekend, bouncing back following successive defeats.
They currently sit fifth in the Championship table, ten points behind the Magpies in second and five ahead of seventh-placed Fulham with five games of the season remaining.
The Whites could be boosted by the return of captain and central midfielder Liam Bridcutt (achilles), while defender Liam Cooper is suspended.
