Kieran Trippier has vowed to work hard as he can on his rehab after X-ray scans confirmed he had fractured his foot.
The 31-year-old scored the only goal of the game as Newcastle beat Aston Villa on Sunday but he had to be substituted in the second half due to the injury.
In a statement, Newcastle said the full back underwent an X-ray immediately and was found to have fractured the fifth metatarsal bone in his left foot.

The injury, which is likely to keep Trippier sidelined for some time, was a particularly big blow considering the run of form he is in.
