Keith Stroud's horrendous officiating error during Newcastle's victory over Burton has led to the referee being withdrawn from taking charge of Gillingham's game against Millwall.
Stroud awarded Burton a free-kick following a successfully converted Matt Richie penalty after Dwight Gayle encroached into the area.
The spot-kick should have been re-taken but instead possession was handed back to Burton.
Stroud's gross error of judgement caused fury on the Newcastle touchline as players and fans attempted to make sense of the decision.
