Graeme Jones confirms he is taking charge of Newcastle's clash at Brighton for a third straight game as the club home in on finalising move for former Bournemouth boss Eddie Howe

Graeme Jones will remain in charge of Newcastle at Brighton on Saturday - but the interim manager has endorsed the impending arrival of the ‘intense and elite’ Eddie Howe.

The former Bournemouth boss has agreed a deal in principle to become the club’s new head coach and is set to be in the stands at the Amex Stadium, should his appointment be confirmed in the next 24 hours.

Jones, though, will lead the team after a full week of preparation, as they bid for their first win of the Premier League season.
