This time last year Newcastle United were sitting 19th in the Premier League and the amount of disillusion around St James' Park was at an all time high.
I remember the 3-0 defeat at the hands of Leicester City and the unbearable atmosphere inside the ground after that game. The 5-1 drubbing from Alan Pardew's Crystal Palace also didn't help matters.
It's certainly been a rollercoaster of a year for fans. From the lows of a second relegation in seven years, to the highs of Rafa Benitez's arrival on Tyneside. However, I think I can speak on behalf of the fans when I say that none of us imagined how happy we would be 365 days on.
