The fiancee of murdered journalist Jamal Khashoggi has revealed she wants to meet with Premier League chief executive Richard Masters to discuss the proposed Saudi takeover of Newcastle United.

Hatice Cengiz had previously written an open letter to Newcastle fans asking them to consider if the club's pending takeover is 'the right way out of despair' for them and the city from Mike Ashley's despised ownership.

The Daily Telegraph reported on Wednesday that Cengiz is now looking to go a step further by sitting down with Masters for a meeting.
