Ex-Liverpool goalkeeper Pepe Reina could be reunited with Rafa Benitez as the Newcastle boss admits he is interested in signing him for third time

Newcastle manager Rafa Benitez is lining up a move for goalkeeper Pepe Reina that would see the former Liverpool pair reunited in the Premier League.

Reina, who has a year left on his deal with Napoli, was the No 1 at Anfield under Benitez for five years until the Spanish coach left in 2010.

They later worked together at the Serie A club and, after securing promotion back to the top flight with Newcastle, Benitez revealed he would be keen to sign him for a third time.
