Newcastle United manager Rafael Benitez has confirmed he wants to re-sign Chelsea star Kenedy, but admits it will be tough after his recent performances.
The 22-year-old Brazilian finally moved to St James’ Park on loan in January after protracted negotiations and has added much-needed spark to the Magpies attack.
His creativity and skill on the left flank has given Benitez’s flat-footed offense a livelier tone and pushed them up to Premier League safety, despite them only scoring 35 times this campaign.
It’s no wonder Benitez wants to keep hold of the player after two goals and two assists in just nine appearances, while he already averages more shots per game than any other Toon star.
