Chris Wilder is a contender to replace Sean Dyche at Burnley, with the Clarets concerned about losing their manager to a Premier League rival this summer.
Former Sheffield United boss Wilder, 53, is expected to become one of the hottest properties of the close season, with a host of clubs in England’s top two divisions interested.
Burnley hope Dyche will stay but his excellent work in establishing them as a Premier League club has attracted plenty of interest, including from Crystal Palace.

It remains uncertain whether Palace manager Roy Hodgson will stay beyond his contract, which runs until the end of the season.
