Barcelona 'are ready to cover a portion of Philippe Coutinho's huge £200,000 a week wages in order to get rid of £145m flop this summer', with Chelsea, Spurs and Newcastle among Premier League clubs keen on him

Barcelona are reportedly willing to cover a portion of Philippe Coutinho's wages in order to facilitate his departure from the club this summer.

Coutinho, who is currently on loan at Bayern Munich, earns more than £200,000-a-week, which Barcelona understand will be difficult for most clubs to afford in the current economic circumstances.

As reported by The Telegraph, Barcelona are prepared to sanction Coutinho's departure whether as part of a swap deal or a transfer.

The Brazil international cost Barcelona an initial £105m (potentially rising to £145m) when he joined from Liverpool in January 2018, but he struggled to settle at the Nou Camp and was subsequently loaned out to Bayern.
