Andy Carroll has reportedly agreed a new deal to remain at Newcastle for another season, despite making just four starts for the club during the 2019-20 campaign.
The injury-prone forward has made 14 appearances for the Magpies this term, but manager Steve Bruce has decided to reward him with a new contract.
According to the Daily Mirror, the contract includes appearance-related terms protecting the club from paying Carroll a high wage if he is sidelined.
The 31-year-old has been out since January when he sustained a hip flexor injury and suffered a further setback in February while attempting to volley a ball in training.
