Alan Pardew confirmed as new West Bromwich Albion manager as former Newcastle boss replaces Tony Pulis

West Bromwich Albion have confirmed Alan Pardew as their new manager as they look to avoid a Premier League relegation dogfight.

Pardew, whose former top-flight clubs include West Ham United, Charlton Athletic, Newcastle United and Crystal Palace, replaces the sacked Tony Pulis.

Pulis was dismissed after winning just two of his final 21 games in charge, with the Baggies currently 16th in the table.
