NEW YORK -- The Yankees opened their final homestand of the regular season with some thunder, batting around for five first-inning runs against the Blue Jays' Marco Estrada on Friday evening at Yankee Stadium.
Luke Voit contributed the biggest hit with a two-run double, capping the damage in an inning that also credited RBIs to Aaron Hicks, Didi Gregorius and Gleyber Torres, while spurring activity in Toronto's bullpen.

Coincidentally, the surge came in the club's first inning after activating outfielder Aaron Judge from the 10-day disabled list.
