Yankees.com: Yankees reportedly make deal for Paxton

The Yankees have acquired pitcher James Paxton from the Mariners, according to Yahoo Sports Jeff Passan.

MLB.com’s Greg Johns reports the teams are in the process of finalizing the deal, which would send the left-handed pitcher to New York for three prospects, including top-rated left-hander Justus Sheffield.

Also headed to Seattle, according to The Athletic’s Corey Brock, are Double-A outfield prospect Dom Thompson-Williams and righty pitcher Erik Swanson, ranked as the No. 22 prospect in New York’s farm system.

Neither team has confirmed the deal.

Sounds about right, no?
