The Yankees did not extend a $17.8 million qualifying offer to shortstop Didi Gregorius for 2020 before Monday’s 5 p.m. ET deadline. Gregorius, who returned from Tommy John surgery to play 82 games in 2019, will now join the free-agent pool untethered to Draft pick compensation.
