Yankees trade Caleb Frare to White Sox, pile up more international signing bonus money

Late last night, the Yankees traded Chasen Shreve and Giovanny Gallegos to the Cardinals for first baseman Luke Voit, and international signing bonus pool money. Brian Cashman was back at it again this morning, flipping minor league reliever Caleb Frare to the White Sox for $1.5 million in international signing money.

Frare, 25, was drafted by the Yankees in the 11th round back in 2012. The left-hander spent most of this season in Trenton where he pitched to an impressive 0.62 ERA (2.24 FIP) with 11.
