Yankees to dedicate plaque to Mariano Rivera on Aug. 14

Yankees fan will have another chance to honor Mariano Rivera this season.

The Yankees announced Thursday that they will dedicate a plaque for the all-time saves leader in Monument Park at the Stadium on Aug. 14 before a game against the Rays.

Rivera, who helped lead the Bombers to five World Series titles, had his No. 42 retired back in 2013 when he officially walked away from the game.

The Rivera plaque dedication ceremony is just one of the highlights of the Yankees' 2016 promotional schedule. The Bombers will celebrate the 20th anniversary of the '96 champs on Aug.
