Yankees sweep Cubs to win World Series in 1932

WRIGLEY FIELD, Chicago, Oct. 2. - Hail your new world baseball champions, the New York Yankees! They defeated the Chicago Cubs here this afternoon, 13 runs to 6, before 50,000 incensed Chicago partisans. By winning their fourth consecutive game they set an all time record, one that may never be broken, by winning twelve consecutive World Series games, three world's championships without the loss of a single game.
