TAMPA — According to his Instagram, the Yankees have signed former Minnesota Twins and Baltimore Orioles OF/INF Chris Parmelee. The club did not immediately respond to confirm the report.
Wrote Parmelee on the social media site:
The left-handed swinging Parmelee spent the first four years of his career with the Twins and last year played 32 games in Baltimore.
He's a career .245 hitter with 28 home runs. The most games he's ever played in one season is 101 (2013) when he played most of the time in right field while backing up first base.
