Yankees power past Twins 5-2 | Rapid Reaction

NEW YORK -- It took 65 minutes to start the game and 3:30 to play it, but the Yankees played it for all it was worth, and it was worth a lot.

A 5-2 win over the Minnesota Twins on Tuesday night at Yankee Stadium helped the Yankees keep pace with Boston in the AL West race and showed a potential Wild Card opponent that they won't be scared to face them again in two weeks.

The Yankees didn't have any one big inning but they strung together enough offense for CC Sabathia (12-5) to work with and the bullpen did the rest.
