The highly-anticipated Field of Dreams Game had all the makings to be a night to remember for the New York Yankees.
Gerrit Cole surprised everyone by showing up. Team reporter Bryan Hoch of MLB.com drove across the country to cover the game after his flight out of Newark was canceled.
To top it all off, Zack Britton debuted custom-made cleats to help raise money and awareness for More than Baseball, a nonprofit dedicated to helping minor-leaguers with housing, food and other needs as they pursue their dreams of making it to the big leagues.
