Yankees pitchers can’t throw strikes, drop rain-shortened game to Tigers

The Yankees and Tigers exchanged blows early today, with New York running out to a 4-0 lead. Detroit countered with five runs in the bottom of the first inning. It was pretty much all downhill from there, as far as Yankees pitching goes. It is only the fourth spring training game and pitchers are still shaking off the rust, and that was abundantly clear today. Unfortunately (fortunately?), they only made it through six innings before the game was called due to rain. The Tigers won 10-4.
