After an 11-3 loss Friday night to the Baltimore Orioles, the Yankees have announced Esmil Rogers has been released from the team.
Rogers appeared in 18 games this season for the Yankees before his release. He pitched two innings in Friday’s loss vs. the Orioles and allowed four runs (one earned), five hits, and struck out two.
On the season, Rogers threw 33 innings allowing a total of 23 earned runs, going 1-1 with a 6.27 ERA. He was claimed off waivers from the Blue Jays last summer.
