A September addition is on the way.
Clint Frazier, who has been sidelined since July 19 with post-concussion migraine headaches, is beginning his rehab assignment Thursday. The outfielder joined Single-A Tampa to begin his climb back to the majors. Previously, the 23-year-old had been hitting and running outside in Tampa, but had yet to play in a game.
It is unknown how long it will take Frazier to return, and the minor league season is wrapping up; the Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre regular season ends Monday.
Frazier has been sorely missed, as Aaron Judge, too, has been injured and the Yankees have had a void in the outfield.
