The New York Yankees' long-rumored international class cannot be finalized until January 15, and there's been plenty of upheaval in future classes in the wake of their decision to let their longtime international scouting director Donny Rowland explore greener pastures (aka, you're fired).
Until Thursday morning, there was nothing of note indicating that the objective jewel of the Yankees' international future — shortstop Wandy Asigen, due to ink his contract formally in just over one month — was anything but pot committed. Unfortunately, in the wake of so much long-range chaos, it was only a matter of time until people started questioning the particulars of Asigen's commitment.
